Look what I got today!!!

It’s so lovely! I’ve been through it so many times already, I don’t know all of them, but those I do recognise, I love. I think those three images were my favorites :)

I went to Forbidden Planet for the first time today, I’d heard about it before, and finally went in today…

How have I never been in there before?! It’s like heaven. I could easily spend hours in there, I could also spend a lot of money in there … you know, if I had any.

The amount of art books in there I wanted was ridiculous. I guess they’ll be going on my birthday list.

… I needed a new one. I can’t start a new project without a new sketchbook.

And yes. It had to be a Moleskine.

I got the most beautiful book in the post today! The art of The Avengers. I’m so freaking excited to have a proper look at it, I only managed to have a quick flick through this morning before I left to go vist my friend at uni. I don’t get back until Friday, so I’m going to have to wait quite a while. I’m sure it’ll be worth it. From what I saw it is absolutely beautiful … It’s avengers and art, how could it not be? Also I have no idea why my hands look like talon things in the first picture.

So, a new Moleskine was bought today …. in my defence, this one is an academic diary and not a sketchbook.

I think my Moleskine ‘problem’ is more of an addiction.

I am well aware that I have a problem.

To be fair, this one is A4 and the rest of my Moleskines are A5 …

Waterstones, do not have buy one get one half price on Moleskines because I will buy them, despite the fact I don’t need them, and I don’t have the money for them.

I couldn’t help myself.

I’m going to put one of them away for when I actually need a new sketchbook and I’ll use the other for practicing. I need to learn to draw again rather than relying on using a grid as a reference for proportions and stuff. This book is probably going to be really messy, and I doubt many quality drawings will come from it, but that’s okay. I think not being so worried about the precision of my drawings will be good for me.

Yeah, so I got quite distracted today, ah well, it’s coming along.

New Moleskine sketchbook. I’m just ignoring the fact I have about 3 other incomplete sketchbooks that I could be using instead of wasting my money buying another.

First ever commission. Complete. 

Just after this photo I put it in a frame, not that hard right?

I took time straightening it up and everything, got the back off of the frame and fitted the picture in all nicely. There was something a bit off about it and after 5 minute of pondering what it was, I realise …

Only I could manage to forget to sign my first commission. Jeez, I’m such an idiot. Oh well, it’s sorted now. I’ll post a better picture of the piece a little later :)

I’m still alive even though I never post anything anymore. Sorry once again. I’m still drawing though. I decided to finish this one up, it will be done by tonight … I hope.

A picture of me … you’re not going to see that very often! Hmm I started this Tumblr on the first of January, and it has only taken 237 days for me to pluck up the courage to show my face … well at least part of it. I decided I’m going to leave the hair alone for now, I decided it looked better than I though it did last night, if that makes sense. I tried fixing the eye this morning as well. I’ll start the rest of the costume tonight :)

I find I’m more satisfied with the picture when it is next to the original … Just-Checking is that positive enough for you? :)

Also, note the amazing (I use the term loosely) pictures of Ligers that me and a good friend drew, you can just make them out in the top right corner.
